The expedition prices always include accommodation, airport transfers, guided tours of Antarctica through Zodiac cruises, hiking on the White Continent and all meals while onboard. Packing essentials may vary depending on the time of the season. We recommend packing comfortable clothing and footwear, warm layers, sunscreen, any necessary medications, travel documents (passport, visa, travel insurance), and a camera to capture memories. Specific packing recommendations will be provided by the expedition operator upon booking.
5. Are there Antarctica expeditions suitable for solo travelers?
Absolutely! Many of the Antarctica providers facilitate the sharing of double, triple or quadruple rooms between solo travellers of the same gender. Antarctica expeditions provide an excellent opportunity to meet like-minded travellers and create lasting friendships along the way.
6. How many people will be on my Antarctica expedition?
Vessel sizes to Antarctica vary, but we only recommend ships that hold less than 250 people since this allows guests more time to land and do activities on the White Continent. IAATO guidelines limit the amount of visitors that can concurrently set foot on Antarctica, hence being on a smaller more intimate vessel allows you more time there.
7. What is your cancellation policy?
The cancellation policy varies depending on each expedition operator, fare class booked and time until departure. For that reason, we recommend purchasing a comprehensive insurance policy that includes cancel for any reason in order to secure your investment into your expedition to Antarctica.
